PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

Growing up with CI, an interesting topic in which we will explore the impact of the CI in daily life of children. Today we will introduce you to two enthusiastic speakers on this topic.

Carolien de Bie

Proudly we announce that one of our keynote speakers is Carolien de Bie, also known as ‘Ushermom’. She is entrepreneur, runner enthusiast and mother of Jackson and James. "Been raising awareness and sharing our story via Ushermom.com since 2016, when Jackson was diagnosed with Usher syndrome type 1b. Life isn’t fair, but it can still be fabulous."

Theresa Ching

Prof. dr. Teresa Ching is Professor in Special Education and Disability Studies at Macquarie University and Professorial Fellow at the NextSense Institute in Australia. She is also Honorary Professor at The University of Queensland. We are very happy that she will present at ESPCI2023 about the topic: 

‘When and how to optimize language outcomes of children using cochlear implants: learning from the first 10 years of LOCHI children.’

Dr. Greg Leigh and dr. Paola Incerti will also join this session.
