With a year to go until the 23rd edition of the IAGG World Congress, the programme is beginning to take shape. We are happy to introduce one of the keynote speakers.
Jugdeep Dhesi stands at the forefront of innovative geriatric medicine. Working with the award-winning POPS service (Perioperative medicine for Older People undergoing Surgery) service at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, she helped to revolutionise perioperative care for older adults.
Her credentials include:
· President of the British Geriatrics Society
· Deputy Director at the Centre for Perioperative Care
· Adjunct Professor at King’s College London
· Associate Professor at University College London
From preoperative optimisation to postoperative delirium care - Jugdeep's research and practice are transforming lives. Her groundbreaking educational work has established the first Allied Health Professional, Foundation and Specialist Registrar training programmes.
